Last autumn, I started work on a “hush hush” project for Future Publishing – a series of “bookazines” for the fitness market, based around various fighting disciplines.
The first title, Get Fighting Fit – MMA Workouts, has now hit newstands, priced £6.99. In it you’ll find 40-plus pages of step-by-step instructions for key Mixed Martial Arts techniques and moves, another 40-plus pages of similar instructions for general fitness exercises (weights moves, bodyweight exercises), and a bluging list of suggested workouts and training plans at the back.
I worked with MMA coaches to select the moves and exercises, put together a shot list, and wrote the title. It was a lot of hard work, but I’m rather proud of the results. If you’re keen on getting fit, fast (and who isn’t after a Christmas of excess?), I’d heartily recommend it.
